When you redeem an App Store & iTunes Gift Card, you add credit to your Apple ID balance. You can use that credit to make purchases in the App Store, iTunes Store, Apple TV app, or Apple Books. Or you can use the credit to upgrade your iCloud storage or pay for subscriptions like Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, Apple TV channels, or Apple News+.
How to locate your redemption code ?
When you redeem a gift card, you’ll be asked for the card’s redemption code. Peel or gently scratch off the label on the back of the gift card to reveal a 16-digit code that starts with an X.
How do I redeem a gift card or code on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch ?
Try the following simple step to
1. Open the App Store app.
2. At the bottom of the screen, tap today.
3. At the top of the screen, tap the sign-in button or your photo.
4. Tap “Redeem Gift Card or Code.” If you don’t see “Redeem Gift Card or Code,” sign in with your Apple ID.
5. Tap “Use Camera” and follow the instructions on the screen. If you are unable to enter the code using the camera then you can also enter the code manually. Then follow the instructions on the screen.
